It is not easy to find a resource that outlines best practices in project management. Not everyone can or wants to become a project manager.
We know that many people in TeamGantt are not project managers by trade. They are people who have to manage projects as part of their job.
We set out to create A Guide To Project Management, which anyone with any level of project management experience can benefit from. Finding someone who is respected and qualified in the project management community was the first step. Because Brett Harned is a friend and has a lot of experience as the Vice President for Project Management at Happy Cog, one of the most recognizable design agencies in the world, managing projects for clients like Monotype Imaging, MTV and Zappos, we decided to ask him.
Digital PM Summit, his conference and workshop on project management, is even run by him. He was thrilled to do this. He is aware of the lack of quality information on project management and has decided to write this guide.
We wanted this guide to be very useful and beautiful. Kevin Sharon was asked to join us in this endeavor. He has done an outstanding job with the design, and will continue to collaborate with us throughout the remainder of the guide.
The Guide to Project Management is an ongoing project that will have 8 chapters. Chapter 1 is now complete! It is already getting great feedback. It can be viewed here.
Here’s the chapter list:
A good project manager
The Dark Art of Project Estimating (coming soon!)

Project Post Mortems
These titles may vary as each chapter develops. However, it gives you an idea of what’s coming. You can leave comments below with feedback or any specific questions you might have.
We are excited for you to share this on Twitter.
