Comparison between change management & project management
“Change management” is a “set or processes that ensure significant organizational changes are made in a controlled manner to achieve organizational change. Change management with regard to the human aspect aims to overcome resistance to change and achieve organizational goals of an orderly, effective transformation.
Project management refers to “the discipline of applying scientific principles in order to initiate the plan and oversee the implementation of new changes within an organization”. Project management is characterized by three key components: Scope, Quality, and Time.
Although they are distinct, project management and change management are both interrelated disciplines.
