Six Sigma teams are the core of any Six Sigma project. A 6-Sigma team is made up of members of the executive leadership committee of a company and a champion. It also includes Six Sigma Master Black Belts (Six Sigma Black Belts) and Six Sigma Green Belts (Six Sigma Green Belts). Participation in a Six Sigma project at the most basic level requires Green Belt training.

Six Sigma Team Executive Decision-Makers
The top executives of an organisation or the leadership council, which is made up of business leaders. These individuals are responsible for leading change initiatives within the organization. This group is responsible for the Six Sigma implementation plan. It is crucial that the Six Sigma team includes executive decision-makers. Six Sigma projects face a lot of challenges in gaining buy-in. It is essential that someone sees the problem and realizes that solving it will bring a great return on your investment. This person must be a member of the executive committee to ensure that Six Sigma projects get the resources they need.
6-Sigma Team: Sponsor/Champion
A Sponsor or Champion in most organizations is the person responsible for overseeing a Six Sigma project. They also report to the Top Executives on the project’s success. Without a Champion, it would be difficult for Six Sigma projects to be executed.
Six Sigma Champions help to identify and scope projects, plan deployment and strategy, support cultural changes, and coach master black belts. Each champion has three to four reporting Master Black Belts. Six Sigma projects and Six Sigma teams must manage change. There might be resistance when a process is being changed to make the business run more efficiently. Some people will argue that the current process is the best and won’t believe that any changes will bring about positive results. The sponsor or champion is responsible for managing negative attitudes towards the project. They also help to encourage positive attitudes and a shift in attitude towards the project. The Six Sigma project champion must believe in the project’s foundation and be able defend it if necessary. It is crucial to have a Six Sigma champion.

Master Black Belt
Six Sigma Master Black Belt, the Six Sigma coach, is a valuable asset to Six Sigma. He offers expert advice to process owners and Six Sigma improvement groups in areas such as Statistical Measurement Tool, Change Management, and Process Design strategies. Six Sigma Master Black Belts coach and train Black Belts, Green Belts, and functional leaders. Each Six Sigma Master Black Belt is equipped with 3-4 reporting Black Belts. Six Sigma Master Black Belts have extensive training in Six Sigma and related problem-solving principles. He must be able confidently to give advice on all aspects necessary to complete the project.
